NeuraTiM Checklist — never leave without the one thing you forgot
Build a checklist once — packing, chores, pre-trip prep, anything — then run through it
every time. Free, fully offline, and it never asks for your data.

Three screens. That's the whole app.
No clutter, no onboarding maze — build a list, run it, and optionally get reminded.
Everything else is just supporting detail.
-
Build a template — add every item once: name, an optional photo, and
whether it's required, optional, or conditional. Reuse it forever; reorder, duplicate,
or archive it any time.
-
Run it before you go — just the name, photo, and a checkbox for each
item, no clutter. Finish unlocks the moment every required item is checked; optional
ones never block you, and conditional ones join in only when their rules are met.
-
Let it remind you — schedule a nudge to start a checklist, or to
finish one you left half-done. Once, daily, weekly, monthly, every weekday, on the
days you pick, or every few days or weeks.
Typing the list in is the boring part. So it isn't.
A checklist app is only worth having if the first list takes less time to enter than it
does to write on paper. There are five ways in, and none of them is a form with one field
per item.
-
Start from a ready-made one — Hiking, Weekend away, Groceries, Gym
bag, Leaving the house. Pick one and it is copied into your own templates.
-
Write the whole thing at once — first line is the name, every line
after it is an item, and a line ending in [optional] becomes optional.
-
Paste into an existing list — bullets and numbering are stripped, and
a line starting with "2x" sets the quantity.
-
Or just start ticking — a quick checklist needs no template at all.
Dictate an item where the device supports it, scan a barcode to name one, and take
suggestions from every item name already on the device.
Some things are only required sometimes.
Taking the laptop? Then the charger matters. Leaving it at home? Then it doesn't. Mark an
item Conditional and it only becomes required when your rules say so — so one template
covers every version of the trip instead of three.
-
Rules in plain language — pick an item, pick is checked or is not
checked. The app spells the whole condition back to you as a sentence.
-
AND, OR, and brackets — combine rules and group them for the awkward
cases, e.g. "Charger is required when Laptop is checked and (Overnight or Working
trip) is checked".
-
Live while you pack — tick the item a rule watches and the
conditional one turns Required on the spot, joining the count. Finish never unlocks
early.
Everything a checklist app needs. Nothing it doesn't.
-
Reusable Templates — photos, required/optional/conditional items,
notes, and tags — build a template once and start it as many times as you need.
-
In Progress & History — leave a checklist half-done and resume it
later; finished ones move to history.
-
Smart Reminders — once, daily, weekly, monthly, on weekdays, on the
days you pick, or every few days.
-
Fully Offline — no backend, no sign-in, nothing to sync. Every
template, run, and reminder lives only on your device.
-
Search & Tags — filter templates by tag and search checklists by
name.
-
iOS · Android · Web — the same fast, uncluttered app wherever you
are.
-
Conditional Items — make an item required only when it matters, with
rules that combine and resolve live.
-
Items With Real Detail — several photos each, a description, a
quantity with a free-text unit, and a section to file it under.
-
Built For Long Lists — ticked items collect under Done, or hide
entirely. Filter to Remaining or Optional.
-
Edit In Bulk — select several items at once to move, flip
required/optional, or delete them together.
-
Progress Without Opening It — an optional ongoing notification and a
home-screen widget, plus launcher shortcuts for your four most-used templates.
-
Share It Any Way You Like — a QR code or a .ntchk file for someone
with the app, plain text for someone without. Photos are never included in a share.
-
Encrypted Backups — back everything up to one file, photos included,
encrypted with a passphrase you choose (Argon2id and AES-GCM, done on the device).
-
Locked And Encrypted — require your fingerprint, face or passcode to
open the app, and optionally encrypt the stored files on Android and iOS.
-
History On Your Terms — keep finished checklists forever, or for a
month, three months or a year.
Numbers about your checklists that only you ever see.
The Statistics page is worked out on the device, from the checklists already sitting in
its own storage. There is no counter, no event and no second copy — delete a checklist and
the page changes with it, because there was never anything else to delete.
-
The row worth having — most often left unticked, so an optional item
you skip every time is one to delete, and a required one you keep finishing without is
worth a second look.
-
Totals for context — how many templates you keep, how many checklists
you have finished, how many are still in progress, and how many items you have ticked
off in total.
-
Nothing is sent — no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no usage ping.
The page says so on the screen itself rather than only in a privacy policy.
The two screens where something does leave get the clearest writing.
An app whose whole pitch is "none of this is sent anywhere" owes you an exact sentence at
the moment something is. Export and share are those two screens, and both of them say what
is in the file, in what state, next to the button that would do it. The app lock guards
the screen; encryption at rest guards the files — two separate settings for two separate
problems.
-
Backups encrypted with your passphrase — Argon2id derives the key,
AES-GCM seals the file, and both run on the device. Nobody can read that backup
without the passphrase — including the developer.
-
Unencrypted only on purpose — there is still a plaintext export, for
when something else has to read the file, and it asks you to confirm before it writes
anything.
-
Locked behind your own biometrics — require your device's
fingerprint, face or passcode to open the app.
-
Encrypted at rest on Android and iOS — optionally store your
checklists, notes and photos encrypted, with the key held by the Android Keystore or
the iOS Keychain.
Your data never leaves your device.
NeuraTiM Checklist has no access to your personal data — there's simply nowhere for it to
go. Templates, checklists, and reminders are stored locally, full stop.

paid alternative, a small tip helps keep it running — never required, always appreciated.
